"Vikings" Seen on The Warwick River!

Huntington Middle School Vikings 6th Grade Science students recently were seen testing the Warwick Rivers water quality to determine its' health. This activity was designed to increase awareness about the importance of our water - The Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Middle School Teacher of the Year 
Congratulations to Jan Cotman, Huntington Middle School Teacher of the Year!. Miss Cotman is enjoying her seventh year as an eighth grade civics and economic teacher. She was recognized by Virginia Council on Economic Education as Economic Teacher of the Year in 2008-2009, and received Virginia’s Outstanding Economic Educator Award, one of only 11 awards given throughout the entire Commonwealth of Virginia. Miss Cotman is a violinist and Marketing Director with the York River Symphony Orchestra. She participates in many professional and school activities; she is a member of her church choir and is committed to serving in programs sponsored in the community. In addition, Miss Cotman enjoys reading, writing , and traveling.
